The Community Sustainability Plan
Household:
- Weatherization & Energy audits
- Efficiency upgrades based on audit recommendations
- Heating/cooling upgrades ( renewable upgrades when geographically possible )
- Solar energy installation based on property capacity and household energy consumption
- Property risk assesment ( fire etc...)
- Storm shelter installation as needed
- "Filterless" air purification unit
- Energy bill budgeting assistance to adapt budget for longer winters and hotter summers
Community:
- Community garden, including all season greenhouse and farmers market facility
- Implement and maintain FireWise community program
- Annual vegetation and tree planting event
- Long term: County circular recycling facility for plastic and glass
