1. Request an energy audit from your local utility   ( free in the Deer River area )
2. Follow recommendations to reduce energy consumption provided in step 1
3. Replace heating unit with energy efficient model   ( geothermal and electric thermal storage is the most reliable in MN)
4. Calculate new electricity requirements
5. Install ground mount solar array to meet home energy needs
